Introducing New Team Members!

Tulane Bands is proud to introduce two new members of our team!

Tulane Bands has begun a new era with the addition of two staff members. We are very excited to welcome our new assistant director Dylan Parilla-Koester, who received his Master of Music Education & Conducting degree from UC Boulder. Prior to that, Dylan earned bachelor’s degrees in Music Performance and Psychology from Tulane University and, yes, was a member of Tulane Bands serving as trumpet section leader, drum major, student conductor and officer of KKPsi Rho Chapter. Dylan’s first-hand knowledge of Tulane University and New Orleans culture will allow him to have an immediate impact on the band program and all of our communities. Also joining the staff is our new program coordinator Anna Wildes, recipient of a bachelor’s degree in Music Education from the University of Tennessee, Martin with administrative and leadership experience in marching band and flute performance.

We are grateful for the significant contributions of our outgoing staff. Assistant director Mendel Lee served Tulane Bands for 14 years with vision and passion. Program coordinator Patti Biera helped guide us through the pandemic and our World Expo Dubai project with professional expertise and a steady hand. We wish them both success and good fortune in their future endeavors.
