2020 TUMB Student Leadership Announced!

We are proud to announce our student leadership for the 2020-21 Academic Year! Our leadership team is an integral part of our process and we are very excited to get back to work! Student leaders go above and beyond for Tulane Bands and receive a monetary award in addition to their band scholarship.

Drum Majors

Jacie Pujol (‘21)

I wanted to be drum major because after taking on small leadership roles the past 3 years, I saw areas in the TUMB that could use improvement in order to help grow the member experience. My biggest motivation was my desire to serve the band and do what I can to make the membership’s lives easier and their time in band more fun, in addition to developing better musicians and leaders.
This season I am beyond excited for the football games. First, to see from a different perspective how the TUMB impacts the football environment and accomplishes new things on the field. Second, to watch the Green Wave dominate the AAC. Roll Wave!

Alexis Hamilton (‘21)

I wanted to be drum major because there’s something special about this group. The TUMB has taken so many steps forward in the last couple years, and the improvement has been incredible to be a part of. I wanted to play a bigger role in continuing this path and making this the TUMB’s best year yet! I’m really looking forward to the shows next Fall, and seeing all the new ways we’ll be able to challenge ourselves. I’m also excited to make stronger bonds with all the band members, especially those I haven’t gotten to know as well yet. This year is going to be great, and I can’t wait for what’s to come!

Percussion Captain

I am honored to be the first appointed Percussion Captain. I hope that I will be able to use the newly created platform to give each percussion section the voice and attention that they deserve.
